I love using children’s wallpapers in their bedrooms – they give you a great chance to play with decoration in a way that most of us don’t dare in the rest of the house.
It’s good to try and decorate in a style that your child can grow up with (though I couldn’t resist a little Winnie the Pooh!) so I have tried to find designs that will stand the test of time. Here are some of my favourites, however there were many more I could have chosen.
Sandberg is worth a particular mention, for all their wallpaper, not just their children’s ranges. Most of the designers referenced here also do complementary fabric collections, I used the Hot Dogs fabric for a chair in my sons’s room.
If you’re a Quentin Blake fan do check out Osborne & Little as well.
If you are still unsure but want to experiment with wallpaper then you can’t go wrong with a nice stripe (see Ralph Lauren, Farrow & Ball or Sandberg) or a subtle small scale pattern such as Colefax & Fowler’s ‘Chaldon’ and ‘Larissa’.
