In the early weeks of motherhood Suzanne Cork felt as if she was running on empty. While it was incredible being a new mum, she felt exhausted by giving so much of herself when her body was still recovering from the birth.
When her daughter was 15-weeks-old she went on a mum and baby yoga retreat. “It was the best thing I ever did,” she says. “It is hard to think of anyone who deserves or needs a retreat more than new mums! Having some time out to spend with my new baby as well as being looked after myself (after many sleepless nights) was indescribable.”
She returned home feeling refreshed and revived and decided to start running her own retreats for mums and babies (up to 18 months old), teaming up with postnatal retreat specialists Motherground, which was founded in Australia by Jasmin Lesniak.
The first retreat will take place 18th to 20th October 2016 at Brooklands Barn in Arundel, West Sussex, a 19th century converted barn in the beautiful West Sussex countryside.

Gentle parenting, relaxation and empowerment will be the focus of the three days. There will be a nanny service so mums can enjoy time out, yoga classes specifically tailored for new mums in the newly built yoga studio and use of a heated indoor pool and sauna.
After dinner mums can relax by the open fire (with a glass of wine, maybe?) before retiring to comfortable, spacious, newly refurbished rooms.
