All We Want For Mother’s Day

Our Mother's Day wish list ... not to say we won't be totally happy with a homemade card and a daffodil.

If you’re in the running for a Mother’s Day gift, maybe forward this list of ideas to the relevant person. You never know…

Bubble vouchers

This is a GREAT idea for a Mother’s Day present.

We love Bubble here at Mumfidential; it’s a babysitting app with more than 100,000 users and a 5-star rating on Trust Pilot. A place to find last minute childcare when you need to go for an appointment or meeting – or you just want to get your nails done or meet some friends for a drink. All the sitters we’ve met have been local to us and highly qualified – many are local nursery and school teachers.

Prickly Pear Seed Oil

If you don’t know about Victoria Health you need to flick straight over to their website and take a look. I cannot recommend it more highly for vitamins, serums, creams and shampoos that REALLY WORK. I’ve been using their fulvic acid shampoo and conditioner for a while now (it’s a bit like fertiliser, in that it’s full of nutrients and encourages hair to blossom and grow).

The all-time amazing product, however, is the Prickly Pear Seed Oil, which takes that sallowness away from your complexion, sorts out spots and dry patches and leaves you with a glow. £20, Victoriahealth.com

A giant Alice band

I bought one of these over-sized hairbands last spring but in BROWN which does not work for me at all. If I could have my time again, I’d go for one of these by Ganni. £78, netaporter.com. However, you will find them a lot cheaper in Pull and Bear or Urban Outfitters.

Such a Fun Age

Believe the hype about this book by Kiley Reid, which tells the story of Emira, a babysitter, and her employer, Alix, and what happens after Emira is accused by supermarket staff of kidnapping Alix’s little girl.

Admittedly it’s not always the most comfortable read for a white middle class employer of a nanny but this is surely a good thing? Totally recommend – and it’s still in hardback, which makes it even more special. Available on Amazon.

Runfalcon trainers

Totally impractical but just think how cool they’ll look for the first week you wear them? And once they look all old you’ll be able to start wearing them on a run. £42.95, adidas.co.uk

A statement spring sweater

Like this embroidered printed cotton jersey top from Maisie Wilen. £180, netaporter.com
