Easter Holidays: Special Offer On A Devon Cottage

Rent a cottage this Easter holidays on a 750-acre estate with sweeping views, profound silence and the most fabulous walks right from the front door.
Steeped in history and family tradition (the Fursdon family has lived here since 1259!), this relatively undiscovered patch of mid-Devon is beautiful – surrounded by timeless, rolling hills looking over the Exe Valley.
Softened by flowers, wisteria and sunshine, the mellow stone gardener’s cottage rests privately in this 750-acre estate with sweeping views, profound silence and the most fabulous walks right from the front door.
Wake to the sound of birdsong in a sunny-filled south-facing bedrooms.
In summer, you can climb the enclosed terraced back garden and flop under a sweet chestnut or rustle up a family barbecue out front. In cooler weather, relax with a glass of something by the log-burner while the kids play or watch TV in the separate snug.
The decor is tasteful, the beds comfortable and the cottage is brilliantly equipped for keen cooks.
This place was made for lovers of the great outdoors, with lots of space for muddy boots and well-behaved dogs.
Stroll to iron-age Cadbury Castle and discover quaint villages, farm shops and foodie pubs.
The nearest beach is only 40 minutes away. On Open Days, you can tour Fursdon’s historic manor house and family museum, wander round the stunning garden or settle down at the charming cobbled-courtyard tea-room for a traditional Devon cream tea.
With a twin room and single room with pull out bed, families love the cottage – there are swings and a slide, and the country lane outside the door is great for riding bikes up and down! Expect a welcome of freshly picked flowers from the garden, Fursdon apple juice and homemade flapjacks.
