We Love: Spanish-made school shoes from Meeny’s

Durable, comfy, stylish and traditionally made in Spain, Meeny's is offering readers 15% off across its range of children's shoes.

School shoes. Not as fun as buying a batman cape or a sparkly tutu, but very important nevertheless and, yes, they can actually be stylish. That’s thanks to Meeny’s, a little-known children’s shoe brand that makes all its shoes in Spain using traditional methods.

Founder Isabel Howell studied shoe design at London College of Fashion and set up Meeny’s in
2012. Since then, the reputation of this independent label has been growing steadily to become a firm favourite amongst parents. And it has recently launched a new school shoes range.

Made from high quality calfskin and a soft pigskin lining, these are shoes that don’t rub or pinch, but which provide all the necessary support and sturdiness for little feet. We love the fact that all the shoes fasten with velcro or a buckle so that children can take off and put on their own shoes by themselves. The school shoes range includes classic Mary Jane, Derby and T-bar designs available in blue, brown or black, but it’s well worth checking out the rest of the range, which includes shoes for babies and some snazzier numbers too.
